Yorkshire Water Run
Report by Tony White
The Yorkshire Water Run is an annual event, organised by Yorkshire Water, raising funds for Water Aid. All money raised from the event go to the charity which helps bring clean drinking water to over 100,000 people in Ethiopia. The 10k race follows the tracks and trails through the woods, completing two circuits around Swinsty Reservoir. There was also a 5k run of one loop. The forecasted rain didn’t materialise, the sun came out and with the trees turning colour it made for a beautiful backdrop. It was a friendly low key event with around 220 entries. And all for a good cause. I finished in 48mins 40 seconds.
