Wirral Half Marathon
Report from the Chair…
For the second time I completed the Wirral Half Marathon (which incorporates a 10k), one of many events organised by the Liverpool Born To Run Organisation – BTR organise a lot of runs throughout the year in the Merseyside and Wirral area. A flat course starting at finishing on New Brighton Promenade with the first 6 miles to the Merseyside ferry terminal at Seacombe – great views of Liverpool Waterfront and then the second half of the race heads out towards the north west coast with fine views of the mountains of north Wales. 850 completed the half and 450 the 10k. I managed a very comfortable 1hr 58mins and 34 secs and thoroughly enjoyed it and back next year!
