Wharfedale Three Peaks
On Saturday a number of Ripon Runners completed the Wharfedale Three Peaks race. The race is organised by the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to raise funds. The Race is open to walkers and runners and includes Birks Fell, Buckden Pike and Great Whernside.
The weather on Saturday was particularly hot with no relief even on the tops of the peaks but the clear day made for spectacular views over Upper Wharfedale and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. First back for Ripon in a great time of 4:30 Victoria Morris closely followed by Alistair Steele in 4:31. Other finishers were:
