Wasdale Show
Report by Gary Bastow
On Saturday I travelled up to the Wasdale show for the last race in the BOFRA season. Though it takes ages to get there it’ a great shepherds meet show.
It’s a straight run out from the show ground, over a style and 2300ft climb onto the top of Kirk Fell and back – totalling 2.39 miles. Yep it hurts!
I was 29th out of the 52runners and didn’t have the best descent as I had worn studs I thought I could get away with and didn’t. However I still got 1st vet 60.
I’ve loved this season and been lucky enough to get the V60 trophy overall.
