Walker Wins at a Kanter
Paul Walker won the LDWA Kilburn Kanter on Saturday, finishing joint first over the over 24 mile long course. The weather was a mixture of wind, sleet / rain on the exposed moors and higher peaks, with conditions calmer in the sheltered valleys. The event starts in the village of Kilburn under the White Horse, and takes in the surrounding villages of Hawnby and Boltby during its 4,000 feet of ascent. Paul finished the course in exactly 4 hours, followed by Ray Raper and Paul Morgan in 4:20, and the trio of Tim Joynson, Neil Dring and Simon McCudden who finished in 5:50.
