Wadsworth Trog
Sally Houghton took part in the Wadsworth half trog fell race on Sunday, on a course that was longer than the usual for this type of race at 9.5 miles long. The 1360 foot of ascent was made even tougher over on boggy moorland above Hebden Bridge. Runners were however blessed with gorgeous blue skies to help take their minds off the conditions underfoot with plenty of slipping and sliding while trying to keep upright. The rest of the course was scrabbling through knee high heather where footpaths are often absent but luckily on a clear day navigation was less tricky. A really great race which Sally enjoyed, especially with a handy stream to wash off in at the end. Sally was once again first vet 50 and 5th lady overall.
