Wadsworth Trog
Sally Houghton competed in the Wadsworth Trog on Saturday. This is a 19.5 mile race with 3,500 ft ascent around the moors above Hebden Bridge and Haworth with the highest point being Top Withins.
Over 200 runners (including Nicky Spinks of double Bob Graham Round fame) set off in perfect weather conditions but the muddy bog soon took its toll.
Sally finished this fantastic course in 3 hours 49 minutes for 6th lady. For the record, Nicky Spinks was second as the first female broke the ladies course record.
