Trails de Cathare Challenge du Donjon
Martin Gabriel and Sally Houghton headed out to France to take part in the Trails de Cathare Challenge du Donjon. This two day event was held in the midi Pyrenees from the village of Cucugnan. Day one was an uphill race to the Chateau de Queribus perched high above the village. Day 2 was a 21k race which took runners back up to the castle, along rocky ridges and long tricky descents through woods to the valley below before heading back up to the tops again several times over! In total the 24k had 5,500ft ascent. Sally was first lady overall and Martin first in his age category.
