Following the appalling weather the runners had to endure on the Hardmoors 55 on Saturday it was a real pleasure to wake up to sunshine and blue skies on Sunday morning. The wind had also dropped substantially, making it an almost perfect running day.
Unfortunately I seemed to have missed the email advising that the start time had been moved from 11 am to 10 am, so arriving in what I felt to be good time at 5 to 10 I had a sprint to get to the start line. Was the last one over. Thank goodness for chip timing.
Consequently I had no idea who else from Ripon Runners was taking part and only saw a few on route where the course does an out and back. I have therefore had to rely on the published results . There looks to be some excellent times run, I know that Louise Allen took 5 mins off her time last year and I also ran my best time as well. On the prize front Kim Brown was the only one flying the flag for the club taking 3rd mvet 45. Full results as follows:
