Tadcaster 10
A handful of members went to a resurgent Tadcaster 10 mile race. Back on the race calender, and with a full entry, the race was a run of two halves, the first 6 miles being run in warm, sunny conditions while the second half was run into a headwind.
In a race where the front runners broke the 1 hr mark, first home for Ripon, was last minute entrant Mark Ryder in 1 hr 7 mins, Jamie McNeil was next best in 1 hr 15 and Ray Johnstone rolling back the years in a splendid 1 hr 17 mins.
Mark Brookes ran a terrific 1 hr 24 mins despite an early pit stop, Andy Purll trundled round in 1 hour 27 mins with the chair Simon McCudden chasing hard in 1 hr 28.
