Studley 10k

Report by Simon McCudden

This first race of the Studley 10k, organised by Studley Cricket Club (SCC), was a challenging, undulating, off road 10.4k. Plenty of rain before and after the race but none during the race itself – muddy conditions underfoot with a very muddy section just before Laver Banks Bridge. The course follows a route taking in public and private footpaths along the River Laver, Galphay Mill, Laver Banks and into Low Lindrick Farm, returning to Studley CC via private footpaths then onto a short section along Galphay Road.

A small group of club members took part, well done everyone and times as follows:
Richard Binks – 50mins
Steve Oates -51 mins
Stan Appleton – 58mins
Andy Purll – 60 mins
Ella Foster – 62 mins 37secs
Simon McCudden – 62mins 53secs
Pamela Munro – 68mins
Colette Woods – 71 mins
