Snowdonia Trail Marathon
Just over a week ago, Stan Appleton once again completed the Snowdonia Trail Marathon. The updated course means it’s turned into a 48km ultra with 2,000 m of climb and a new very mountainous and boggy section, which adds even more difficulty to an already tough challenge. The route still ends with a climb up Snowdon before the final run down into the finish. Stan finished in 7 hours 32 minutes and was 2nd in category as well as the oldest competitor, an amazing achievement considering it’s only 7 weeks since Stan had his arm in a sling following surgery to a shoulder tendon he tore on the same race last year.
