The next day, and conditions were much better for all the RR who were out in force to help organise, marshal and compete in Boroughbridge at the Shaun Lee Johnstone 10 mile race. The weekend’s warm weather made it a great day to spectate but quite hot and thirsty work for runners. First back for RR was Simon Cave in 1 hour 4 minutes for 7th position, while Douglas Scott also made the top 10 with a time of 1:05 for 9th. The pair were followed by Mark Ryder (1:07), Michael Hernandez (1:11), and Michael Hall (1:12) while Emma Sorby claimed second lady and 38th overall in 1:14. Only one second separated Andy Turner (1:15:55) and James Boddy (1:15:56), with Jake (first dog!!) and Matthew Holt next in 1:18.
