Sharphaw Metric Marathon
Claire Baker took on the undulating course of the Sharphaw Metric Marathon, which was 26.2km long with almost 800m of ascent. The race starts by climbing to the summit of Skipton’s iconic hill, Sharphaw, then heading into the Dales and eventually climbing the next summit of Weets Top near Malham. From here, runners headed back down with Sharphaw in view again. Mixed terrain, footpaths, tracks, boggy fields and open moor provided great fun for all runners. Claire finished in 3 hours 5 mins and was 4th lady overall.
