Sessay Swift 6k
Midweek, saw Ripon send a sizeable contingent to the annual Sessay Swift 6k race near Thirsk.
Sally Houghton, usually more at home on steep fells, won the ladies race in a great time of 24:18 and Reece Dalton was third male home in 19:22. Other notable performances were Chloe Dalton winning the under 35 category in 26:12 with fellow Riponian Jane Grundy chasing hard to get 2nd in the under 35s in 27:29. David Jelley finished 3rd in his age category at 24:25, Jill Holt 3rd in hers at 27:05 and Kim Holden 3rd in age at 29:46. Other Ripon runners times were:
