Saint Cuthbert's Ultra
Also on Saturday was the Saint Cuthbert’s Way Ultra, a race bridging the national borders between Scotland and England. The 100km (62 miles) started at Holy Island and headed Westwards crossing large sections of the Northumberland National Park and the beautiful Scottish Borders region, before finishing at Melrose. Tony Carr was Ripon’s sole representative, but unfortunately had to retire at the 50 mile marker after a wrong turn earlier in the course meant he missed the cut off time.
