Punk Panther Race Series
Julian Davis and Sheena Jackson completed the latest in the Punk Panther series, taking on the shorter of the two distances on Saturday. They were running with Sheena’s spaniel Poppy and thought 35 miles might be a bit much for her so they opted for the shorter option of 27.5 miles. The weather was perfect and the race started in Otley then took them round Lindley Wood, Fewston, Swinsty and John O’Gaunt’s reservoirs before heading up to Almscliffe Crags, down into Weeton then back along the river to Pool in Wharfedale to finish. Results tbc. It was a very runnable course with a bit too much tarmac for Sheena’s liking but definitely a good entry level ultra for those wanting to try one.
