Paul First Home in a Kanter
Also on Saturday, Paul Walker took first prize at this year’s Kilburn Kanter. The LDWA event starts in the village of Kilburn, below the White Horse. The 25 mile course has over 3000 foot of ascent, with a really tough climb from the edge of Lake Gormire to the top of Sutton Bank in the last few miles. Paul won the event in a time of 3 hours 53 minutes and Sheena Jackson almost made it a male / female first. Running with Ray Raper, Paul Morgan, Sheena also completed the course in 4hrs 34mins for second lady place, only just pipped to first lady spot by about one minute.
