Malhamdale Trail
Seven Ripon Runners took part in the Malhamdale Trail Run on a wet Saturday morning. The race covers 22 miles over the moors near Malham Tarn, with 3,000 feet of ascent including steep climbs up Pikedaw and Gordale Scar.
John Chatwin was first of our runners home in 3 hours 41 mins, followed by Tony White in 3 hours 51 mins. Hannah Dutka, in her first long distance race, finished together with her mother Mel, in 5 hours 36 mins. While Robin Kehoe was next in 5 hours 48 mins and Chris Bennett in 6 hours 17 mins.
Lindsey Fallow took part in the shorter 9 mile race which includes part of the Pennine Way along with Janet’s Foss, finishing in 1 hour 59 mins.
