Loch Ness Marathon
Hull was too close for a number of Ripon Runners as they took to Scotland for the Loch Ness Marathon. After being bussed out to the shore of Loch Ness, competitors then return to Inverness via an undulating route through some of Scotland finest countryside.
Jane Grundy, in terrific form of late, was first home for Ripon and collected a PB en route in a time of 3 hr 51 min, with marathon debutant Elise Nicholson only one minute behind. David Allen showed few ill effects from his recent 60 mile exertions to finish in 4 hr 32 min, while injury returnee Robin Kehoe finished strongly in 4 hr 55 min.
David Nicholson, took advantage of being in his home country of Scotland with wife Elise, by competing in the 10k event in a time of 52 min and 7 seconds.
