Lakeland 100
Colm O’Cofaigh achieved an amazing ultra marathon milestone over the weekend, completing his second 100 mile race in the space in 5 weeks. Following his successful finish of the 108 mile long Montane Spine Flare race in June, Colm completed the Lakeland 100 mile challenge in a time of 38 hours 44 minutes. Colm had only been able to run 4 miles in the intervening 5 week period due to a calf injury, and was worried this would mean having to withdraw from the Lakeland race. But he put any concerns behind him and tackled the course, along with various weather conditions, to take almost one hour off last years finish time.
