Kirkby Moor Fell Race
Sally Houghton took part in Kirkby Moor fell race in the western lake district, on a course with 1,650 ft ascent over 6 miles. The race went up on to the moor tops with a bit of snow on the ground to add to the mud and generally boggy, slippy ground. Runners enjoyed great views over snow topped lake district fells and a good hard but runnable route made this a race for next year’s diary. Sally was 3rd lady overall, and once again 1st vet 50.
