Joe First Ripon at New Race
Joe Lofthouse was first Ripon Runner at a new event on Sunday. The Haverah Trail Race is an undulating 10 miles long held in Harrogate, and Joe was 27th overall in 1 hour 16 minutes, with Ray Johnstone 74th in 1:26 and Stan Appleton only 8 minutes further back in 1:34. Kim Holden was Ripon’s first lady in 1:46 while Julie Brown was just under the two hours (1:59) along with Paula Johnstone (2:03), Haley Whipp and Dawn Griffin (2:12). Claire Baker recovered from her 60 mile win the day before to run with friend Natalie in 2:23.
