James Herriot Trail Race
Last week RR members took on the tough undulating 14km long James Herriot Trail Race course in the Yorkshire Dales. After a tough ascent from the start line at Castle Bolton, runners are treated to wonderful views of Wensleydale.
The race was won in 53 minutes 10 seconds by Keswick AC member Carl Bell, with the ladies title won by Michelle Nolan from Richmond & Zetland Harriers in 62:12, and first back for Ripon was Ray Johnstone in 76:30, while wife Paula also completed the course in 110:17. In between were three more members; James Stuart Mills 79:30, Kate Shaw 85:34 and Stan Appleton 89:58.
