Holly Hustle
Jo and Iain Wallace travelled to north Leeds for the new trail race in the Meanwood Valley. The course was a virtually all off-road hilly, mucky and technical route with plenty of rocks, tree routes and sharp ups and downs, mainly in woodland. Although marked, they were given a map as the markers tend to disappear, and this was the case as Iain went wrong 3 times, losing a fair bit of time, while Jo was fortunate only to take one wrong turning. Runners could do one lap of 11 km or 2 laps for a total of 22km. Jo & Iain went for the 11km option and out of 142 finishers, Iain was 26th in 1:02 and Jo was 31st in 1:03 and 12th lady out of 85.
