Helvellyn Triathlon
A number of members took part in the Helvellyn Triathlon as part of a relay team. With a 1 mile swim in Ullswater, a very lumpy 38 mile bike ride and 7 mile ascent of Helvellyn, this was no ordinary triathlon. In blustery conditions, Spike Ambery Smith and Paul shears managed to finish 2nd best team in the relay event with Sally Houghton and Martin Gabriel also finishing.
