Helmsley 10K
361 runners completed the undulating Helmesley 10k race on Easter Sunday, with Tom Charlton from Tyne Bridge Harriers winning the race by almost three minutes in 34 minutes 26 seconds.
Ripon had some good performances with Simon Cave (39:39) and Douglas Scott (40:04) claiming top 20 finishes in 12th and 15th place respectively. Mark Ryder was only few seconds behind Douglas in 40:43 and Dave Binks continued his return with a 42:50 finish. Ripon’s first lady was Jane Grundy with a PB time of 49:32. Jane was followed by Kim Holden (55:40), Clare Childs (57:37), Julie Brown (1:01:10) and Christine Cooper (1:17:54).
