HDSRL Final Club Standings

After 4 rounds of tough running and great turn outs against our local competitors, I can now reveal the final standings.

It has been a very productive year, with great running across the sexes and age groups.

The team standings for the league as follows:
In the main league (all club runners) we finished 2nd 3630 points vs Harrogate’s 3747, loosing out by only 117 points ! (well done all members, and the men who can only run in this category, Ben Pease, Reece, James Boddy, Ben Imeson, Lee Stanley, Trevor Schofield, John Chatwin, Jim Berriman, Jack Hernandez) – trophy awaits us all.

In the ladies league (all ladies runners) we also finished 2nd 1707 points vs Harrogate 1845 points, losing out by 138 points. Step forward and take a bow all ladies, and those who can only run in this category, Tori Green, Amy Berriman and Jane Grundy – another trophy awaits

In the ladies vets (ladies aged 35 plus) we also finished 2nd by an agonising 8 points ! 1118 points vs Harrogate 1126. Ovations all around for the super vets plus Sharon Barlow Hamilton, Donna Riddler, Nicole Sutton, Kristie Taylor, Anne Cheeseman, Stella Morgan, Suzanne Rickard, Heather Glegg, Jill Holt, Angie Benson, Anneke Imeson, Lena Conlin, Alison Clarke, Jackie Turner, Lesley Willoughby, Kelly Dunkley, Dawn Griffin, Hayley Whipp, Mel Dutka, Ruth Grundy, Sarah Jane Swinscoe, Fiona Hernandez
3rd trophy awaits!

In the mens vets (men aged 45 plus) we finished 3rd with 1692 points behind winners Harrogate on 1871 and Wetherby 1852. Laudits honoured to the super vets plus Alex Fawcett, Dave Binks, Douglas Scott, Michael Hernandez, Neil Dring, David Ritson, Paul Walker, Steve Silver, Dewi Winkle, Gary Wilks, Matthew Holt, Phil Moores Andy Purll, Tony Carr, Martin Whipp, David Nicholson and Sean Scullion.

Finally the super vets (runners aged 55, both sexes, also eligible to score in ladies and mens vets). An amazing 1584 points (419 points ahead of third place), but, alas, those red/gold/black and very numerous Harrogate harriers in first with 1810 points (again sigh…..) Our supervet superheroes were John Ward, Allan Hansen, Tony White, Ray Johnstone, Andy Turner, Tim Joynson, Chris Appleton, Simon McCudden, Kim Holden, Stan Appleton, Fiona Alder, Helen Pickard, Lester Pickard, John Grundy Robin Kehoe, Christopher Bennett, Maggie Driffield and Linda Cadman
4th trophy awaits

Individual standings for all 4 races:
A magnificent 4th place overall for the league for the irrepressible Ben Pease – terrific – and 1st in the main league for the club.

An amazing 13th place overall for the league, and 1st in the u18 category for the whole league goes to Reece Dalton.

Sharon dazzled again as first lady in the overall league, first overall for the club and 1st in V35 category, in 14th place.

Alex Fawcett was a fizzing first V50 in the overall league and 16th in the standings

James Boddy completed the fantastic five in the top 20 for Ripon Runners in 20th place, with Donna Riddler as 3rd lady for the overall league.

Other notable results – John Ward was 1st overall in the V65 category, with Linda Cadman 1st overall in the ladies V65!
