Hawkswick Dash
Sally Houghton and Gary Bastow both took part in another of the BOFRA fell races, this time St Hawkswick Dash near Grassington. The 1.2 mile course has 600 ft of ascent, with runners first facing a just about runnable grass ascent but then it was hands and knees to the top. Battling high winds the course went briefly along a ridge before a sharp descent back to the finish. Gary had a great race storming home well up the field and Sally was 4th lady and first in her age category.
