Hardmoors Wainstones
There were Ripon Runners at all the distances of the Hardmoor’s Wainstones races on Sunday. A dry but very windy day made the hilly moorland courses which began and ended at Chop Gate. For the marathon which was 27 miles with 5000 ft of ascent there was Mike Hall, Steve Silver, Lena Conlin (finish time of 5 hours 43 minutes and first FV50), Lucy Smith, Simon McCudden and Neil Dring.
For the Half, which was 14 miles, there was Nicole Sutton and mum Linda Cadman who finished in 4 hours 33 minutes. At the 10 km race (which was actually 9 miles) was Jo Thwaites and Alison Clarke.
