Hardmoors Rosedale Marathon
A hot day on the North Yorks Moors made this year’s Rosedale Trail Marathon even harder as hundreds of runners travelled to the scenic village of Hutton-le-Hole to run in the 10k, half marathon and full marathon races.
The course offered stunning views as the marathon route took in just over 29 miles of surrounding moorland with approximately 4,500 ft of ascent. Of the three Ripon Runners doing the full course, Jill Holt was first back in 6 hours 43 minutes, with Lucy Smith and Matthew Holt following just one minute behind.
Jonathan Baker and Billie ran the 10k course, all 8.5 miles of it, in 1 hour 53 minutes.
