Hardmoors Osmotherly Marathon
Also on Sunday, the latest in the Hardmoors Marathon Series took place, this time the Osmotherly marathon. Again, the weather was wild, very windy, and the deep muddy and slippery trails made for slow going over course that measured just over 28 miles with 5500 foot of elevation. That didn’t stop three RR ladies claiming prizes, with Lucy Smith claiming second female overall in 6 hours 6 minutes. Lena Conlin completed the 57th marathon plus distance race in a time of 6 hours 26 minutes, to claim first FV50 and another course PB.
Nicole Sutton & Jo Thwaites competed at the half marathon distance (16.6 miles), and finished in 3 hours 46 minutes, while Linda Cadman also claimed first in FV60 category in the 10k race, finishing in 1 hour 39 minutes.
