Hangin Stone Leap
On Saturday a number of RR attended the last LDWA Hanging Stone Leap race, a circular 24 or 13 mile route starting and finishing at Guisborough Rugby Club.
New member Adrian Martin enjoyed a great first week as a Ripon Runner, picking up two prizes in two days. He was only 8 minutes behind overall winner Shelli Gordon on the Hanging Stone 24 mile route, finishing first male in 3 hours 52 minutes.
Ripon had a further six runners finishing close behind with Matthew Holt 5th (4:09), Clair Baker 7th (4:15), Douglas Scott 10th (4:18). Jill Holt, Ray Raper and Paul Morgan (4:19) all finished joint 11th after Jill & Ray helped Paul finish after he fell ill in the last few miles. Completing the 13 mile route were Dawn Griffin, Hayley and Martin Whipp in a time of 3:59.
