Hampshire Hoppit
Sara Fleck travelled South for The Hampshire Hoppit marathon trail race, a predominantly off-road and clearly marked course. It includes local sections of famous long distance footpaths, the Wayfarers Walk and the Harrow Way. The route is a scenic single-lap course that starts and ends at Kingsclere on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, reaching some of the highest points in Hampshire with views across the county.
Every finisher received a unique engraved pint size glass and a thirst-quenching fill of ‘Hoppit’, a Classic Ale (3.9%AV) from the Loddon Brewery. Sara enjoyed her well earned beer at the end after completing the 26.2 mile course with 1,900 feet of ascent in a great time of 5 hours 15 minutes 1 second.
