Hamelden Fell Race
Sally Houghton was the only Ripon Runner who headed out to Accrington on Sunday to do the Hamelden Fell Race. It was a 6 mile circuit with 1,100ft of ascent, which was a lot harder than she had anticipated with several ups and downs before reaching the Hamelden trig point. However, the tough course made up for it with wonderful scenery and views over the fells on a glorious hot sunny day. Sally managed 5th lady overall and 1st V50 in a time of 50 minutes.
