Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race
Club members entered the Grewelthorpe Multi terrain event, a race run on road, paths and woodland trails, for 13 km, through spectacular countryside, around Grewelthorpe and surrounding area. Recent rain made conditions a little slippery in places but that did not deter a great day as Ripon walked away with both the male and female team prizes.
Lee Stanley finished 3rd and first back for Ripon in 56.15, Simon Cave 4th only 2 seconds behind in 56.17 with fellow team winner Douglas Scott 7th in 58.35.
Heather Glegg, spearheaded the ladies challenge in a time of 1hr, 14 mins and 33 seconds, with Angela Benson next in 1 hr, 15 mins and 7 seconds and third team member Nicole Sutton in 1.16.10.
