Eston Nab Challenge
Report by Helen Cox
On Saturday 20th July, 4 Ripon Runners embraced the challenge of the Eston Nab, a 10k trail race that was actually 6.7 miles. This is a Hardmoors event which lived up to its name. The first mile was a slow climb/walk up to the highest point – the Nab – at an elevation of 242 m. The views were breathtaking and included panoramic views of Teesside and the Cleveland Hills. Marshals all the way round gave great encouragement and a welcome water station /jelly baby stop at 4 miles was greatly appreciated. The heavens opened at the top of the hill on the return to the finish and the rain was refreshing and needed. A great run and so glad we took the challenge.
