Ennerdale 25k
Caroline Turner won first lady on Sunday at the Ennerdale 25k in the Lake District. The weekend, organized by High Terrain Events, saw a 50km race on the Saturday, where runners had to complete a two laps race. Starting at the western end of Ennerdale Water, the route ran along the north edge of the lake, then continued to Black Sail Youth Hostel before crossing the River Liza and returning along the south side of the lake. On the Sunday, a single lap 25k race was held along with a 10k distance race. Caroline was first lady in a stunning time of 2 hours 8 minutes and was also 12th overall.
