DT30
The second of the DT series races was held on Saturday, this time the 30k distance event with 3,000 feet of ascent. The race started near Muker and headed up to Britain’s highest pub, the Tan Hill, before returning along the river to the finish line.
First for Ripon was Alex Fawcett in 2 hours 56 minutes (18th overall) with Paul Walker just a minute behind in 2:57 in 22nd spot. Steve Silver finished in 3:22, with Anneke Imeson first RR female in 3:44, closely followed by Iain Wallace 3:46. Other finishers were: Helen Hall (4:14), Dave Allen (4:15), James Stuart Mills (4:21), Kim Holden (4:32), Chris I’Anson (4:34), while John Bull rounded up the field, after stopping part way through the course for afternoon tea, in a time of 5:51.
