The second race in the Dales Trail Race Series was held at Muker on Saturday, with the 30km course set in beautiful countryside on a sunny warm day. The course was in reverse to last year, but runners still had a tough ascent to the pub at Tan Hill before returning along the riverside to the finish line.
Sixteen minutes behind the winner and 8th overall was Alex Fawcett in 2 hours 46 minutes with Pete Chapman also under three hours in 2:50. They were closely followed by Ben Imeson (3:03), Dave Binks (3:10) and Paul Walker (3:13) along with first Ripon female in Claire Baker (3:22).
