Dave & Lena First Back at Great North Run
Many Ripon Runners turned the Great North Run in Newcastle into a family affair, as warm conditions made for tough going in the world’s biggest half marathon. Dave Binks, 700th out of 53,000 runners in 1 hour 29 minutes 33 seconds was follwed by Lena Conlin (2:05:57) and Clare Childs (2:08:22). Chris I’Anson ran his 20th GNR with wife Kathy and sister-in-law Carolyn for a 2:28:40 finish, with Fiona and Mike Hernandez finishing with daughter Lolly in 2:39:37. Other finishers were Fiona Blaylock (2:44:00), Nicole Sutton and mum Linda Cadman (2:46:46).
