Coniston 14
Almost 1,100 runners ventured to the Lake District for the Coniston 14, with husband and wife team of Helen Pickard (2 hours 11 minutes 21 seconds) and Lester Pickard (2:15:49) first to complete the scenic circular route around the towns lake. Jackie Turner and Mel Dutka kept each other company for a time of 2:16:19, Karen Gilbert (2:20:30) and Maggie Driffield (2:52:11) completing the Ripon line up.
