Charlesworth Chase
Five members raced on Saturday at the Charlesworth Chase Fell Race. Starting in Appletreewick the route goes along the river and then straight up Simons Seat. A steep tricky ascent over rocky paths and through woods with great views in the sunshine, followed by a great descent back down to the river path. And as if 5 miles and 1,200 ft of ascent was not enough… runners have to drink a pint before they cross the finish line. Ben Imeson came in first for Ripon Runners followed by Gary Bastow, Dave Binks, Sally Houghton and Dave Ritson.
