Centurion Wendover 50
Steve Silver put in a solid performance at the weekend at the Centurion Wendover Woods 50 mile long race, to finish with a time of 11 hrs 28 mins. The distance was made up of 5 × 10 mile laps with a total elevation of 10,000 feet. Laps 1 and 2 went off without any drama just ticking off the miles, unfortunately Steve started to suffer on laps 3 and 4, as the steep downhills made it hard work on legs, thus making the tricky descents very painful. At the start of lap 5 Steve had a bit left in the tank but couldn’t make his legs go any faster due to pain and stiffness but did finish 83rd overall and 6th in Age Category at the first time of being a MV50.
