Buckden Pike Fell Race
Four runners completed Saturday’s Buckden Pike Fell Race, 6km long run with 486 metres of ascent. The race was first held in 1981, but the course was altered in 1987 to make it even more challenging. Ripon had second in the M45 category when Dave Binks finished in 45 minutes 30 seconds and third place in the M55 category for Gary Bastow 46:59. A few seconds later Joe Lofthouse finished in 47:42 and Dave Ritson finished in 56:43.
