Buckden Out Moor Fell Race
Martin Gabriel and Sally Houghton took part in the Buckden Out Moor fell race on Saturday 5th May.
Organised by the National trust and in just its second year, the course winds up through Rakes Wood out on to open moor to the summit of Buckden Pike. With a short run along the tops the route then heads down towards the lead mines, then continues round the fell side before heading back to Buckden.
5 miles and 1700ft ascent, the route has a long climb up but the reward was some fantastic descents. Sally came second lady and Martin also had a great race – times to be confirmed.
