Brass Monkey Half Marathon

Fifteen Ripon Runners ventured over to York for the annual Brass Monkey Half Marathon on what was a cold and wet Sunday morning.
For those that haven’t run the race it’s flat and fast and ideal for those looking for a PB. The race starts and finishes at the racecourse and takes in a lollipop loop down through Bishopthorpe and out into to countryside.
Thankfully the rain stopped after 30 mins and the sun even started to shine towards the end.
First home for Ripon was Kim Brown in a fantastic time of 1.21.48 very closely followed by John Chatwin in 1.21.50. First Lady home was Wendy Marks in 1.37.31. There were lots of other great results and a few PB’s thrown in as well I believe.
