Brass Monkey Half Marathon
The annual Brass Monkey half marathon race in York gave runners the chance for a PB time, with many Ripon Runners doing so. Out of the 1,515 finishers Tori Green was 68th overall and 2nd female in 1 hour 19 mins 19 seconds, closely followed by Donna Riddler who took 20 seconds off her previous best in 1:28:16. Joseph Lofthouse returned to racing with a great time of 1:30:30, and John Chatwin showed his training was paying off with a 1:34:30. Other finishers were: Fred Clapham (1:41:58), Ian Swinscoe PB (1:42:05), Anne Cheeseman (1:45:04), James Stuart-Mills (1:46:06), Simon McCudden (1:48:59), Andrew Purll PB (1:53:16), Angie Benson (1:57:00) and Laura Moody (1:59:59).
