Ambleside Fell Race
On Thursday, Sally Houghton took part in the Ambleside fell race, a straight up and straight down 2 mile route with 800ft of ascent. The race is part of the long standing Ambleside show and is held at the end of a day of traditional Lake District sports. Although the rainy weather cleared for the race, the surface was very slippery making the steep grassy descent quite interesting at times, but a great race in a wonderful Lake District setting. Sally once again finished first in age category in a time of 21 minutes.
