Ripon REDers came together on Wednesday 31st of January for one final run of the month. R.E.D Jan 2018 has seen some truly fantastic people don their red T-shirt every day of January.
A united front was conceived by Jane Charlton of Ripon Beginners Running Club along with Andy Purll and Karen Lennox of Ripon Runners who came up with the idea to involve all Ripon REDers showing that all ages, abilities and different groups/clubs can unite to support the MIND charity.
R.E.D stands for RUN EVERY DAY and centres around a month long challenge in January to run, walk, swim (whatever you fancy!) each day, every day. There are no rules, the aim is to get active every day.
Not only has R.E.D January been a brilliant way for us to kick-start the New Year, but in taking part we are helping to raise awareness and open up the conversation about mental health.
Every penny we have raised will fund Mind’s vital work such as the Mind Infoline information and advice service.
It costs us £6 to answer one call to the Mind Infoline, the expert helpline for anyone needing advice and support about mental health problems.
Every thing raised will truly make a huge difference to someone’s life.
